Amend NEC® 2017, page 61:

(C) Guest Rooms and Guest Suites. Deleted.

ELR commentary: In the 2017 NEC®, this same code section requires AFCI protection for all 120-volt, single-phase, 15- and 20-ampere branch circuits supplying outlets and devices installed in guest rooms and guest suites of hotels and motels.

In North Carolina, the AFCI requirements in 210.12(C) have been deleted.
